Nation singer Luke Combs is apologizing for his earlier use of Accomplice flag imagery.

The 30-year-old performer took half in a Nation Radio Seminar occasion on Wednesday, Feb. 17, the place he mentioned fellow singer Morgan Wallen‘s current controversy over video showing him using the N-word.

Luke instructed moderator and NPR critic Ann Powers and participant Maren Morris that he himself has modified over time. He addressed the truth that he used the Accomplice flag in earlier images and in the 2015 music video for Ryan Upchurch‘s model of his tune “Can I Get an Outlaw.”

“There isn’t any excuse for these photos,” Luke shared. “I believe, as a youthful man, that was a picture that I related to imply one thing else. And as I’ve grown in my time as an artist, and because the world has modified drastically within the final 5 to seven years [when the images were created], I’m now conscious how painful that picture may be to another person. … I’d by no means wish to be related to one thing that brings a lot harm to another person.”
